The programme, to be held between 14 and 25 November 2016 will discuss the commitments of the Madrid International Pan on Action on Ageing as well as regional implementation strategies. This intensive programme is composed of lectures, workshops and site visits to care homes for older people, centres for active ageing and geriatric rehabilitation hospitals.
Apart from various local experts, the lecturers on the course include Prof. Tomas Kucera (Professor of Demography at the Faculty of Science, Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic), Dr Alexandre Sidorenko (Former UN expert and Focal Point on Ageing), and Prof. Asghair Zaidi (Senior Advisor, European Centre for Social Welfare Policy and Research — a UN-Affiliated Organisation — Vienna, Austria).
INIA is offering a limited number of partial scholarships. However, since this is not guaranteed, it is in the interest of prospective candidates to secure alternative funding. Interested candidates should contact Mr. Christian Vella on email christian.vella@inia.org.mt
