The Philippine Social Pension at Four Years: Insights and Recommendations

Under the Expanded Senior Citizens Act RA9994 of 2010 by the government of the Philippines, a social pension scheme of PhP 500 per month for indigent senior citizens was introduced.
After four year of implementation, the Coalition of Services of the Elderly (COSE) in partnership with the Demographic Research and Development Foundation (DRDF) and HelpAge International, undertook a study on the social pension to revisit the implementation of the current scheme and explore its impact. The report titled “The Philippine Social Pension at Four Years: Insights and Recommendations” will be launched soon. The poster summarising the findings is now online and free to download.
