Top 5 updates on the intranet this month

  1. Read the remarkable new paper «Age proofing the post-2015 framework» with our key asks for the replacement of the Millennium Development Goals when they expire in 2015.
  2. Please participate in our private sector engagement survey — it will take 10 minutes! The aim is to map our engagement with the private sector across the network.
  3. HelpAge’s regional network in Latin America met this month in Lima, Peru to discuss the strategic direction of the network. Read the update.

Meet a colleague: Mahmood Ahmed

Each month we introduce you to a colleague from around the world. This month please meet: Mahmood Ahmed.

«I have worked in HelpAge’s country office in Pakistan as Senior Operations and Emergencies Manager since July 2010.

My main responsibilities include facilitating programme implementation and making sure they adhere to operational and management procedure and policies.

I am also responsible for the implementation of emergency programmes in country and am the focal point on emergencies in Pakistan. I have experience with emergency responses from the 2004 tsunami and 2005 earthquake in Sri Lanka as well as the 2010, 2011 and 2012 floods in Pakistan.»
